Included in your Rent-a-car Ilha Verde rental:

1. Unlimited mileage.
2.  Collision Damage Insurance Cover. In the event of an accident this insurance covers the full value of the vehicle. However you remain liable for the excess amount of  859.96 Euros (Group A & B), 1146.95 Euros (Group C1 & D), 1.246.90 Euros (Group F) and 2007.92 Euros (Group H & N). Please note that this insurance does not cover damage to tyres, the vehicle undercarriage or the windscreen.
3. All local taxes and airport surcharges.
4. Third party Liability Insurance. This covers any third party in the event of an accident.
5. Additional drivers at no extra cost.

Not included (payable locally):

1. Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) and Theft Protection (TP) Insurance. These extra charges, which if paid, will dramatically reduce or void any excess payable, in the event of an accident or if the hire vehicle is stolen. The price of the Super CDW is 9.67 Euros per day (Group A & B), 10.18 Euros (Group C1, D & I), 10.68 Euros (Group F) and between 11.19-15.26 Euros (Group H & N). The Theft Protection (TP) Insurance cover must also be purchased along side the Super CDW. The price of the TP is 5.08 Euros per day (Group A & B), 7.12 Euros (Group C1, D, F & I) and 10.18 Euros (Group H & N). By purchasing the Super CDW and the TP the maximum excess payable is 57.50 Euros.
2. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) will cover the cost of any personal medical costs incurred in the event of an accident. This insurance is optional and payable locally at 3.46 Euros per day. Please note that Sunvil travel insurance provides limited personal insurance and covers medical costs. If you have not purchased Sunvil travel insurance, please check with insurance company prior to departure to see if you will be covered.
3. Out of office car hire charges: After 24:00 at Ponta Delgada Airport and 18:30 for hotels in Ponta Delgada; After 19:00 from the car hire office in Ponta Delgada; After 19:00 on the islands of Terceira, Santa Maria, Pico and Faial.

N.B: Please note that you do not have to purchase these extras. However, should you decide to do so, these will be noted on your car rental agreement and are payable locally.

Notes:

1. A credit card imprint will be taken to cover local extras or any excess charges in case of an accident.
2.  Cars will be supplied with a full tank of fuel. Any missing fuel on return of the vehicle will incur an additionall service charge of 11.50 Euros payable locally.
3. A full UK or EU driving licence, held not less than one year prior to rental, is required.
4. Minimum age is 23 years.
5. Driving is on the Right. No rear seat belts.
6. We are not liable for any police or traffic fines incurred by clients.
7. We can request but not guarantee a particular make of car.
8. Child seats on request and payable locally at a rate of 5.75 Euros per day (maximum of 57.50 Euros per rental).
9. These conditions also apply to car hire already included in the cost of our holidays.
10. Our Insurance does not cover any personal belongings stolen while left unattended in a hire car unless in a locked and covered compartment. Valuables are excluded from cover.
11. Cars can be hired on all the islands except for Corvo. Distances are relatively short and the majority of roads are good. Some roads can be precipitous with hairpin bends.
