In 2005, in conjunction with SATA International, the long established Azorean airline, Sunvil was proud to offer the first direct flight from the UK to the island of Sao Miguel on a Tuesday. The success of this flight has lead to a second flight on a Saturday to be added to the schedule in 2007. We invite you to discover the Azores in just 3 and a half hours.

Aircraft: A320 Seating: 149 economy seats & 12 business class
Seat Pitch: 30/31” economy & 33” business
Baggage Allowance: 20kg economy & 30kg business
Advanced seat reservation: We are able to pre-book specific flight seats for our clients. If you have a preference for seats together - window, middle or aisle (seat configuration of 3 and 3), please advise at the time of booking. Please note that we cannot pre-book extra leg room seats (bulk head or emergency exit). Seating is subject to availability.
Golf Bags: SATA International (and TAP Portugal) both allow one free golf bag in excess to the standard baggage allowance of 20kg (30kg business). If you are intending to take golf bags with you please advise us at the time of booking.
Diving Equipment: Subject to a tax of 3.60 Euros per person in excess to 10kg over the baggage allowance.
Bicycles: One per person allowed, free of charge, when reserved and confirmed in advance, and transported in a hard shell case. Otherwise a surcharge of 50.00 Euros is applicable each way.
Catering: From London Gatwick lunch is included and from Ponta Delgada a cooked breakfast. Special meals are available on request (wine and beer free with meals).
Business Class: Improved meals served on china, free drinks (aperitifs) 30kg baggage allowance, 33” seat pitch and free use of the Executive lounge at London Gatwick and Ponta Delgada.

Airport Lounges
Airport lounges are not just for business class passengers. Everyone can enjoy first class comfort and escape the hustle and bustle of the airport for up to 3 hours before departure.
There are two airport lounges at Gatwick Airport. The Servisair lounge operates for the South terminal (SATA International and TAP Portugal flights). The lounges offer flight information screens and are inclusive of drinks and snacks, TV screens, newspapers and magazines. Airport lounges can also be pre-booked at London Heathrow (TAP Portugal flights) – please telephone us for details.
Lounge facilities at Lisbon and Ponta Delgada airports are also being investigated.
Gatwick Servisair Lounge – South Terminal
- Earliest Arrival: 05.00 hours.
- Lounge Closing Time: 22.00 hours.
- Dress Code: Lounges have a smart casual dress code.
- Smoking: This lounge has a designated smoking area.
- Children/Infants: Over 12 years old only.
- Facilities: TV, complimentary bar, showers, toilets and newspapers/magazines
- Business: Fax, Internet, phone (all subject to a small charge).
- Disabled/Wheelchair: Landside via lift to 3rd floor and airside lift to Upper Level. Disabled toilets in the lounge.
- Food and Beverage: Complimentary snacks (biscuits/crisps), coffee, tea, soft & alcoholic drinks are available in the lounge. There is a charge for champagne.
