Rural tourism, also known as agriturismo, in Italy has grown rapidly over the past ten years but is still relatively unknown to British holidaymakers. We have chosen a small selection of farm properties that combine a refined atmosphere: quality of furnishings, comfort, scenic location, modern amenities and genial hospitality. Guests are housed in ancient stone lodgings on a bed and breakfast basis or in self catering apartments. Long or short stays, excluding July and August, can be combined with city hotels, historic houses or countryside properties to create individual, tailor-made itineraries to suit every taste.
