Included in your SIXT rental:
1. Unlimited mileage.
2. Loss Damage Waiver (LDW). In the event of an accident or theft of the rental car this insurance covers the full value of the vehicle. However you remain liable for the excess amount of 968.00 Euros (Group A, B & C), 1,573 Euros (Group D) and 2,117.50 Euros (Group E). Please note that this insurance does not cover damage to the vehicle’s tyres, wheels, interiors, undercarriage, car sides, roof or windscreen.
3. Third Party Liability Insurance. This covers any third party in the event of an accident.
4. All local taxes and airport surcharges.

Notes:
1. Cars will be supplied with a full tank of petrol. Clients will be required to leave a credit card imprint corresponding to a full tank of petrol between 72.60 and 121 Euros (depending on the size of the vehicle) and the insurance excess amount. This deposit will be refunded when the car is returned, with a full tank of petrol. Any missing fuel on the return of the vehicle will incur an additional service charge of 18.15 Euros plus the cost of the missing fuel, payable locally. Please note that the credit card needs to be in the name of the designated driver.
2. Each additional driver will be charged locally at a rate of 4.24 Euros per day (maximum payable per rental of 42.35 Euros).
3. A full UK or EU driving licence, issued not less than one year prior to rental, is required.
4. Minimum age is 21yrs.
5. Driving is on the Right.
6. Infant (0-2yrs) and Booster (3-12yrs) seats on request and payable locally of 9.08 Euros per day (maximum payable per rental of 108.90 Euros). Infant/Booster seats are now compulsory with all car rentals in Madeira. All children under 12yrs and less than 150cm tall must wear seat restraints.
6. Passengers must wear seat belts when travelling in the rear of the vehicle.
7. We can request, but not guarantee a particular make of car.
8. We are not liable for any police or traffic fines incurred by clients.
9. These conditions also apply to car hire already included in the cost of our holiday. All local charges quoted here include VAT (15%).
10. Our insurance does not cover any personal belongings stolen while left unattended in a hire car, unless in a locked and covered compartment (valuables are not covered).
11. Airports are open 365 days a year. After hours airport charge (between 20.00-24.00hrs) is 17.25 Euros, payable locally.
12. Please advise us, at the time of booking, of any ENDORSEMENTS ON YOUR LICENCE.

Not included (payable locally):
1. Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW). This is an extra charge, which if paid, will void any excess payable, in the event of an accident. The price of the Super CDW is 9.50 Euros per day (Group A, B, C, D & E).
2. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI). This insurance will cover the cost of any personal medical costs incurred in the event of an accident. This insurance is optional and payable locally at a rate of 6.05 Euros per day. Please note that Sunvil travel insurance provides limited personal insurance and covers medical costs. If you have not purchased Sunvil travel insurance, please check with your insurance company prior to departure to see if you will be covered.
3. Delivery/collection charge applies to hotels outside Funchal of 60.50 Euros each way.
N.B: Please note that you do not have to purchase any of the above. Should you decide to do so, these will be noted on your rental agreement and be payable by the client locally.
