Madeira is a small island, only 57km long and 22km wide, with a beautiful and often dramatic landscape interspersed with small coastal and mountain villages. Distances are relatively short and the majority of roads are good. The island is covered with winding, narrow roads, which follow the land’s rugged beauty, but motorways passing through tunnels provide a faster, alternative route.

 

Cars are provided on an unlimited mileage basis (see car hire details >) and collected at Funchal airport on arrival and returned to the airport on departure. If you are staying in Funchal we can arrange for your car to be delivered and collected from your hotels. transfers to/from your hotel in Funchal would be provided.
