This is a unique opportunity to safely swim with dolphins in the waters around Sao Miguel Island. The five species of dolphin that are regularly sighted are: Common, Atlantic Bottlenose, Risso, Atlantic Spotted and Striped.
Price: £49 per person (No reductions for children). Special reduction of £11 per person if booking 4 people or more on any one trip
Notes:
- Only 1 person allowed in the water at a time (only free diving permitted).
- A minimum of 2 crew members will be on board at all times.
- Duration: 3-hour trip (in the water for c.10 minutes)
- Snorkelling life vest without fins or tube is provided.
- Wetsuits are not included but can be hired locally (price approx. 10-12 Euros per person)
- Location: Approx. 10 miles from the shore (Sunvil insurance includes cover for this activity)
- Only for experienced and confident swimmers
- Contact with the dolphins is not permitted
- Maximum of 6 people per boat.
- Minimum child age is 5 years (accompanied by a parent or guardian).
- The final decision to dive rests with the skipper on the day.
