Holidays in the Paphos Area

The busy and rapidly growing resort of Paphos is at the centre of this region which stretches from Petra Tou Romiou (the birthplace of Aphrodite) in the southeast to Aghios Georgios in the west.  Outside the resort, the area is rural and agricultural with many inland villages that can be explored.

Many of our self-catering properties are in this area and the advantage of holidaying here is that one still has the privacy of a villa yet there is easy access to all the facilities of a large resort within a 15 to 20 minutes drive.  In the early months of the year this is an area for watching bird migration.

The three new golf courses at Tsadha, Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills are all located in this region and for those who are interested in the island’s history then the Tombs of the Kings and the Roman mosaics – probably the best preserved in the Mediterranean – can be found right in the centre of the resort.'

Paphos Holiday information

Cyprus enjoys one of the healthiest climates in the world with pollution free atmosphere and plenty of sunshine. Mean temperatures range from 8°C (42°F) in December to 35°C (96°F) in August

Cyprus lies on one of the major bird migration routes across the Mediterranean.  It is a major staging post used twice a year as birds move between Africa, Europe and Euro -Asia. Almost 200 species occur as regular passage migrants, while another 20 or so occur irregularly.
