Situated on rising ground behind the town the Quinta, characterised by red
terracotta and wooden floors and dark wood furnishings,  was restored 6 years ago to reflect Azorean colonial style. From a viewpoint in the large gardens there are panoramic vistas of Ponta Delgada and the ocean beyond. You will
be assured the friendliest of welcomes as Tony and Anna, the owners, have very close long standing British connections. The wooded grounds are very extensive (approx. 500,000 sq. metres) and even Tony says he does not know where they end.

 

The rooms, decorated in a simple traditional style, are located in the main house and in the neighbouring garden annexe.

 

Main building: Ground floor: 1 double room.

First floor: 2 double rooms  (3/4 size bed), one with balcony and view of side street, pool and garden, and  1 family unit with 1 double and 1 twin room with a bathroom (shower) to share – access from the corridor (not en suite).

Garden annexe: Ground floor: 3 double rooms with king
size bed and 2 twin rooms.

Amenities/Leisure: 9 rooms all with bathroom (bath or shower) and cable TV ■ Outdoor swimming pool (3 x 9m) open all year ■ Barbecue in the garden

■ Guests have use of the kitchen to prepare light snacks and keep drinks in the fridge ■ Large living room with honesty bar and antique furnishings
