There are two golf courses on the island of Sao Miguel, located at Furnas,
close to the Hotel Terra Nostra Garden (4km) and at Batalha, a 20- minute drive (12km) from Ponta Delgada.

Furnas – Cedars
■ Located in the mountains (500m above sea level) with beautiful lakes, fairways surrounded by large trees and undulating greenways.
■ Golf course area: 46 hectares
■ Course length: 6560m maximum
■ 18 holes
■ Par: 72
■ Required handicap: 28 Men / 36 Women
■ Services: Clubhouse with bar, restaurant, small pro-shop and TV/video room.
■ Training facilities: 2 putting greens, practice tee and chipping and pitching area.

Batalha – Azalea
■ A landscaped golf course with challenging fairways and greens overlooking the ocean.
■ Golf course area: 100 hectares
■ Course length: 6435m maximum
■ 27 holes.
■ Par: 72.
■ Required handicap: 28 Men / 36 Women
■ Services: Clubhouse with bar, restaurant (golfers only), pro-shop, TV/video room and WIFI internet access.
■ Training facilities: Driving range, two putting greens and a chipping and pitching green.

Please note:
■ It is obligatory to wear soft spike shoes on both courses
■ SATA International and TAP Portugal allow one golf bag per person, free of charge, in excess to the standard luggage allowance of 20kg.
