Industry News: Surcharges
Many companies are now asking their clients for more money, after having issued an invoice, to cover the 15% fall in the value of Sterling against the Euro and the dramatic rise in the cost of fuel. At Sunvil, we hedge forward for a substantial amount of our fuel and currency requirements but, like everyone else, have a considerable shortfall this year. However, we never surcharge, preferring to let our clients know the exact price of their holiday arrangements at the time of booking. Our advertised offers always show a final price. Our brochure prices are adjusted at the booking stage so there are no subsequent unpleasant surprises.
